Ministry: Russian wheat exports rise 41% in Jul 1, 2017–Wed
MOSCOW, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports increased 41.2% on the year to 30.611 million tonnes from July 1, 2017 through Wednesday, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.
Total grain exports rose 39.8% to 39.17 million tonnes in the period, according to the Federal Customs Service.
Barley exports amounted to 4.409 million tonnes, while corn exports were at 3.891 million tonnes.
The Agriculture Ministry expects that Russia’s grain exports may reach 53 million tonnes this year, including 40 million tonnes of wheat.
